Ice Cream In A Bag!
It is always fun and rewarding to have something to connect to the reading that we do in class. Since our story this past week was about eating ice cream and the science behind brain freeze, it just seemed obvious to me to make ice cream in a bag! Delicious fun!

To a quart size Ziploc bag, we added 1/2 c. half and half, 1/4 t. vanilla, and 1 T. sugar. We double sealed that bag and then placed it in a gallon sized bag with 1/2 ice cream salt and ice. The kids shook the bags for about 10 minutes and then enjoyed their tasty treat!
We had an amazing visitor teacher today! Thank you, Carmen Whitworth, for coming in today and sharing your insect specimens. The students LOVED it!
